Liverpool Puppy Training: A puppy is an investment that will hopefully last many years. The initial cost, and ongoing financial cost is one thing, the emotional investment is the biggest thing of all, so you want to make the right decision for you, your family and the puppy.
If you were buying a car, if you didn’t know anything about cars, you would research different makes, read reviews, understand what the really important things to know were before investing.
In terms of investment, a puppy is one of the greatest investments you will ever make, (maybe only topped by children). In terms of money, time and emotion, a puppy – and therefore a dog is a long term commitment, getting it right at the beginning, can reduce the risk of massive vet bills (and/or insurance), emotional distress, and more importantly, your dog will not be as likely to suffer from debilitating conditions, whether they be physical or behavioural. (both of which are very expensive and time consuming to improve or resolve).

The work that the breeder puts into your puppy during its very early life, (and before it is even conceived ) has a significant impact on how that puppy develops both physically and mentally.
You need to know what to ask a breeder (it isn’t all about seeing the Mum), there are many questions that you should be asking. If you don’t get the answers that you need, go to the next breeder. Be prepared to put the time in to researching a reputable licenced breeder (with a good star rating). Initially you may find this is more expensive, but it potentially saves on future financial and emotional burdens, that can carry a significant cost.
Essential Tips for Welcoming Your New Puppy Home
The preparation that you put in, prior to bringing your puppy home, is also very important to make sure that the transition from being with their Mum, and moving to a new home, is as easy as possible. Being well prepared will make this life changing process so much easier for you ,your family and your puppy.
Early development and relationship building for your puppy will help them not only to be well rounded and well behaved, but it will also help you to have a great bond with them and develop mutual TRUST. This is key in any relationship, and the relationship with your puppy is no different.
Socialisation (or as we like to call it, Emotional Intelligence Training) is a great way to provide your puppy with learning experiences. It DOESN’T MEAN that your puppy must play with every dog, human or object that it sees. Socialisation is as much about teaching your puppy not to always interact as it is helping your puppy to have positive interactions in their everyday life. Helping them to develop coping strategies for many different things, and become a confident dog.
Training for you and your puppy is a lifelong experience, one that can just keep growing, keep giving pleasure and provide constant learning opportunities. Training doesn’t always have to be in the traditional environment, of weekly classes, in fact, while we provide these as well, we are also able to provide bespoke packages of learning, that really fast track your puppy’s physical, behavioural and emotional development.

- We can provide you with support in breed and breeder choice.
- Zoom Consultation
BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR PUPPY HOME
- Supporting you with equipment choice, what you need, and what you don’t! (via Zoom)
- Home visit to advise on layout, best locations for crate, den etc to ensure that your puppy is safe, and that the transition from the breeder is as stress free as possible.
- Advice on what to expect in the first few days of having puppy home.
Once you have your puppy at home with you there are 4 packages that we can offer.
PREMIUM PLUS
Our most comprehensive package. Suitable from 8 weeks of age- 3 sessions (2 x 121 + 1 Zoom/facetime ) per week for 2 weeks followed by
- 3 sessions (121 + 2 Zoom/facetime) per week for 2 weeks followed by
- 1 session (121) per week for 2 weeks
- Once pup is fully vaccinated, 121 sessions may include different environment visits, e.g. our training centre , park, country walk, etc.
PREMIUM
Suitable from 8 weeks of age- 3 sessions per week (1 x 121 + 2 zoom/facetime) for 2 weeks
- 2 sessions per week (1 x 121 + 1 zoom/facetime) for 2 weeks
- 1 session per week (121) for 2 weeks
STANDARD
Suitable from 8 weeks of age- 2 sessions per week for (1 x 121 + 1 zoom/facetime) for 2 weeks
